Breakfast: 1 c. sesame milk
lunch: 1 molasses muffin - made of: flour (we grind it from wheat, brown rice, corn, rye, millet, oats & barley), molasses, oil, baking powder, sea salt, water, honey & bananas
banana-"Oreo" shake - I wish I had measured ingredients, because it was so good! It was made of:
soaked Brazil nuts
frozen bananas
water
cacao nibs
It really reminded me of the "cookies & cream" ice cream stuff made with Oreos. Of course I haven't eaten an Oreo for a few years...my son liked it, too, though, so it must not have been too "weird"! :D
Dinner: Sprouted quinoa + vegetables + dressing (I know, I can't seem to get tired of it!) + FRESH CHIVES FROM THE GARDEN! This is my first "back yard food" of the year, so I was pretty excited. Good stuff!

oh my gosh a muffin sound so good. problem with me is that i would eat the whole batch not just one! i had a strong craving for crusty bread today. random.
ReplyDeleteas for the shake, i tried something similar to this only the brazil nuts were already in a milk and i use cacao powder. it was delish!
Aimee - I usually make the shakes with the cacao powder, and you're right - it makes a wonderful chocolate-banana shake! The nibs surprised me and made it a totally different flavor - they taste like bits of Oreo. Either way, it is really good! I wonder if you could make a gluten-free muffin with brown rice flour? You could put agave in place of the honey...
ReplyDeleteok today i made it with a fresh banana, brazil nut milk, agave, and cacao powder and nibs. very textured and yummy.
ReplyDeleteyes i could make a mean GF muffin. i'd still probably eat way too much of it. i don't want to introduce cooked desserts back because they are too much of a downfall for me.
I love looking at your flogs!
